  On Feb 2, 2024, Canwest Taiwan Board of Trade/Canada Taiwan Exchange Association, along side LS Times TV and Richmond Mandarin Lions Club, held a Lunar New Year celebration to welcome the year of the Dragon.  As well, it marked the 15th anniversary of LS Times TV. We were blessed with the arrival of many guests, including Director-General of TECO Vancouver Angel Liu, Director, Overseas Community Affairs TECO Belinda Chen, as well as many well known local politicians and others.  We thank everyone for joining our celebration and wish you all the best in the new year!

  Canwest Taiwan Board of Trade/Canada Taiwan Exchange Association is proud to announce that this year’s Gala coincided with S.U.C.C.E.S.S’ 50th Golden Anniversary celebration, marking their five decades of community service, following S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’ founding in 1973. Thanks to you S.U.C.C.E.S.S met their goal and raised over $500,000 to support the wellness of our communities. These funds will go to support underfunded S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs for newcomers, families, youth, women and seniors, such as their counselling services, Help Lines, and their community programs for seniors.

  Vancouver Taiwanese Film Festival (TWFF) wrapped up this August at the VIFF Centre from the 5th to 7th, and online from the 8th to the 14th! A hybrid event that allows audiences to enjoy excellent films from either a theatre or the comfort of their homes. The 2022 TWFF brings Taiwan to you through 14 carefully curated films that span multiple topics and genres so you can be fully immersed in the diverse Taiwanese culture. Canwest Taiwan Board of Trade / Canada Taiwan Exchange Association is a proud sponsor of the 37th S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon held on July 10 at Lumbermen’s Arch in Stanley Park. Over thousands of participants joined us at the Walk for the first time after 2 years of pandemic, and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday morning with a walkathon, entertainment, booth activities, gifts and prizes. We have successfully raised over $223,000 this year.
